Siderean and Inxight Announce Partnership to Deliver Relational Navigation to Federal Government

Reseller Agreement Allows Government Users to Master Information Access and Discovery

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., and RESTON, Va., April 30, 2007

Siderean Software, the leading provider of relational navigation solutions, today announced that it has entered a reseller agreement with Inxight Federal Systems, the leading provider of government software solutions for information discovery. Effective immediately, Siderean will be added to Inxight’s GSA-approved price list, enabling Inxight’s government customers to propel information discovery, access and participation. By combining Inxight’s SmartDiscoveryTM platform with Siderean’s patented relational navigation technology, users can go beyond simple search and intuitively navigate through large volumes of information to pinpoint content containing relevant information.

“Inxight is a trusted leader in information access, and this partnership will open up a lot of doors for Siderean as we continue to expand our footprint across the government market,” said Michael Schmitt, CEO of Siderean. “Government users continue to produce and consume information more rapidly than ever before. Until now, they have not been able to keep pace with the demand for information access and discovery. By teaming with Inxight, Siderean is providing users with the tools to add context and structure to the vast amounts of enterprise and Web-based information, ultimately enabling them to make better business decisions.”

Inxight’s software structures unstructured data by “reading” text and extracting important entities, such as people, places and organizations. It also extracts facts and events involving these entities, such as travel events, purchase events, and organizational relationships. Siderean’s Seamark Navigator then builds on this newly structured data, providing an intuitive, easy-to-use relational navigational interface that allows users to quickly put multi-source content in context to drive improved discovery, access and participation across the information flow.

Unlike traditional or even guided navigation™ solutions, Seamark Navigator uses the Resource Description Framework (RDF) and Web Ontology Language (OWL) standards developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). RDF and OWL, standards being driven and heavily adopted by the Department of Defense and other government agencies, are ideal for enabling a standards-based approach to providing a 360-degree view about any concept regardless of the format of the underlying information sources.

"Inxight is excited to work with Siderean to help our customers improve their navigation experience and master the discovery process,” said Paul Battaglia, president of Inxight Federal Systems. “The unique ability to access and easily navigate through massive volumes of unstructured enterprise and Web information is critical to government agencies, and we look forward to showcasing to customers the ability to get beyond data silos with the help of Siderean’s Seamark Navigator."

Siderean’s Seamark Navigator, the industry’s most sophisticated relational navigation platform, will provide an important add-on to Inxight’s metadata harvesting and extraction solutions. Inxight’s government customers will now be able to leverage Siderean’s open relational navigation solutions to access more relevant and timely results derived from the full context and scope of information. As users refine their searches, Siderean dynamically displays additional navigation options and gives users summaries of those items that best match search criteria.

Siderean also enables users to illuminate unseen relationships between sets of information and leverage human knowledge to explore information interactively. As a result, Inxight’s customers will be able to aggregate, analyze and organize structured and unstructured digital information from the enterprise and on the Web, presenting it in a single, unified navigation view that dynamically displays content in context.

The GSA is a centralized federal procurement agency and offers a fast and cost-efficient method for government agencies to procure products at a certified price and without an extensive RFP process.
